The hotel, tourism, and restaurant industries are among the largest private recruiters in the French economy. They employ nearly 2 million employees, mainly in SMEs or very small businesses. Very active throughout the national territory, this sector seems to be unaffected by the crisis. These three activities (HTR) are creating numerous jobs in France, the most visited country in the world.
Regarding the Restaurant industry in France, it continues to recover from the effects of the health crisis, with starred restaurants and fast food experiencing some success. Digitalization, evolving consumer expectations, and increased competition have completely transformed the restaurant landscape.
The restaurant sector remains subject to strong pressure on the labor supply. Restaurant owners are facing difficulties in recruiting staff (for dining room or kitchen). This situation is forcing establishments to rethink their Human Resources policy by recruiting new types of profiles.
